What you should read: Blame Gilberto, Stamford Bridge is not so tough, Liverpool owners don’t get it and Manchester United deserve the title

Tim Vickery might be one of the most knowledgeable football pundits in the world, especially when it comes to South America where he has been based for over a decade for the BBC. He knows his stuff so when he writes about blaming Arsenal’s collapse on Gilberto Silva, I think it’s at least worthy of a read.

Yes, we all know how Chelsea haven’t lost at Stamford Bridge for years now, but I think we saw when Wigan drew them on Monday, that it isn’t exactly the fortress it once was. Want proof? Here are some numbers to back that claim.

We’ve spent plenty of time lampooning the American owners of Liverpool on this blog – not because they’re Americans, but because they seem out of their league. Here’s a great bit of work on the two, written in the shadow of the remembrance of one of football’s most tragic days.

I’ve been meaning to write a post on why Manchester United deserve the title, especially with how boring the football is that Chelsea play. Well, I was beaten to it, and I am guessing this one reads better than mine would have.
